Rupert Grint

“I’ll always be the ginger one from Harry Potter.” Rupert Grint is a British actor known worldwide for having played Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, where he began his acting career as he had previously only participated in school plays. Grint, who was a fan of J. K. Rowling's books, sent a casting video and got an audition, in which he got the role. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) broke sales records, was very well received by critics, and was the debut of little Rupert, who during the following years participated in independent projects in parallel to the filming of the saga, such as Thunderpants (2002), Driving Lessons (2006) Cherrybomb (2009) and Wild Target (2010). He also had some participations in television programs. At the end of the film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - part 2 (2011) and already finished the project, he participates in the war movie Lost in the Snow (2012). In 2013 he starts doing theater and the following year debuts on Broadway with the play It's Only a Play (2014). Grint views the "Harry Potter" phenomenon with a mixture of pride, nostalgia and appreciation for the opportunities it has given him as he continues to develop his career.
