Director/Producer Shawn Griffith's professional career spans over 25 years in the film industry, yet started from humble beginnings. Mr. Griffith holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Film Production and cinematography from The University of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Starting as a young, pre-teen actor in commercials, he caught the "film bug" early, and in 1985 began work on his first major feature as a production assistant for Director and Producer Sydney Pollack and Executive Producer Ron Schwary. Since then, he has grown to membership in the Director's Guild of America (DGA), working as a Director, Producer, UPM and AD on major theatrical features, and television series in 6 Different countries and 22 different states in the US. His filmography spans over 25 years in the entertainment industry and has accumulated credits on numerous studio and independent feature films and television series. Shawn has worked with such notables as Robert DeNiro, Sydney Pollack, Al Pacino, Keanu Reeves, Harrison Ford, Bernie Pollack, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, to name a few. Shawn Line Produced Award winning "Searching for Sonny", "Mongolian Death Worms" (ScFi Network) and Produced "Hands of the Dragon", shot in Deli, Rajasthan, Calcutta and Mumbai (Bollywood). He is producing the award-winning films "The Locker", and "Agenda", as well as produced "Cowgirls N Angels" in Oklahoma, where he was able to earn a state refund of over $400K for the production! Mr. Griffith's groundbreaking work designing, implementing and establishing the Broadcast Studio at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, along with producing 24/7 content for the Child Life Zone Television Network, is being duplicated all over the US and the world! His work with the patients in both the Audio recording and broadcast video studios, is noted as a key to the healing of adolescent patients facing painful, and many times unpredictable outcomes. Shawn spends much of his time between projects, mentoring the youth of today through, workshops, lectures, and teaching at academies such as Beverly Hills High School in California, International Leadership of Texas, and KD Conservatory College of Film and Dramatic Arts in Texas. Mr. Griffith is dedicated to adolescent wellness and education, and works to introduce youth to the film industry. Along with being a mentor to high school students, a keynote speaker at many career seminars and film camps around the country, Griffith has also directed and produced the children's television series Reggie & the Roustabouts. He strives to introduce youth to this Industry, and motivate them to succeed, no matter what! As a member of the Director's Guild of America (DGA), he has accumulated credits on films such as "City by the Sea" (Warner Brothers), "Rollerball" (MGM), "Devil's Advocate" (Warner Brothers), "Uptown Girls" (MGM), "Random Hearts" (Sony Pictures), "Flawless" (MGM), "The Riff" (All Channel Pictures), "Eraser" (Warner Brothers), "Great Expectations" (20th Century Fox), and the television series, "The WestWing" (Warner Brothers). Shawn Griffith is also an accomplished actor, and musician.
