National television host and correspondent Stacey Gualandi is the Host/Producer of Hallmark Channel's first on-line TV series "Hallmark Channel On Location", a series of half-hour shows that will present behind-the-scenes footage of the network's original programming, red-carpet premieres and interviews with stars and creative figures. Stacey has come a long way since her first big scoop right out of Miami University's journalism program: picking up horse manure as a P.A. on the set of the film "Eight Men Out". Not quite the journalistic scoop she was looking for, but it did lead to another "inside" job as Molly Ringwald's stand-in on the film "Fresh Horses". Stacey was fascinated at the behind-the-scenes activity. That's when she decided to move to Hollywood to be an entertainment reporter. The typical path for a reporter involves moving to small town U.S.A. and advancing step-by-step to larger markets. Stacey, however, devoted herself to becoming a strong writer/producer, a decision that she felt would make her more effective as an on-air correspondent. She honed her skills as a producer for Financial News Network (now CNBC) and "Extra". "Extra" gave her the chance to meet the famous folks she grew up admiring, stars like the cast of Knots Landing, Cindy & Bobby Brady, and even her first crush, Starsky. Yes, Starsky. Her big break as an on-air correspondent didn't involve reporting on entertainment, but the position was highly entertaining. On the show "Strange Universe", Stacey profiled people with alien implants or who had been abducted by aliens. She even traveled to Mexico with a group of paying thrill-seekers in search of UFO's. She developed her gutsy style of reporting at "American Journal" and for eight years at "Inside Edition". Stacey covered the world of entertainment, particularly celebrities at work, at play and in trouble. From the Super Bowl, junkets, movie sets, premieres and court cases (including Blake, Jackson and Simpson), to award shows like the Oscars, Grammys, SAG's, Golden Globes and the Emmy's, Stacey has rarely faced a celebrity story she couldn't cover effectively. Stacey continued her reportage on the celebrity scene as a correspondent for TV Guide Network. She became the host of a ground-breaking multi-media project called "Understanding Cancer". Both the website and pilot profiled numerous cancer survivors and advocates including Arnold Palmer, Mr. T, Laura Ingraham, and Hillary Swank, and served as a cancer-support network for survivors, caregivers, family, friends and those recently diagnosed. Stacey also serves as host of "On Tour" at Fox5/KVVU, where she covers the bands and personalities who perform in Las Vegas each week. Every opportunity she gets, Stacey participates in charitable events. She served as host for the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program's "Bogart Backstage", the Youth Support Institute's "Golden Youth Awards" at the Friars Club, and the Jeremy McGrath Supercross Invitational. Stacey has also participated in the Malibu Triathlon benefitting Children's Hospital LA, the Merv Griffin/Beverly Hills Country Club Tennis Classic, the Challenged Athletes Triathlon and the Susan G. Komen Annual Fashion Show for the Cure. In 2001, she also co-hosted the Miss Burbank pageant. Stacey earned a BS degree in Broadcast Journalism from Miami University. While attending college, she worked as an on-air radio broadcaster for the campus radio station WMUB and also spent a semester studying in Luxembourg. She lives in Los Angeles and Las Vegas with her husband Marty, their lovebird Cleo and their mutt Wally.
