John Gustafson, also known as Johnny Gustafson, had a notable career as a bass player in various '60s and '70s British rock groups. Among others, he was member of the Merseybeats, Quatermass, Roxy Music, Spencer Davis Group and Ian Gillan Band. He played bass as a session musician on many 70s albums including "Surprise" by Lynsey de Paul, the Bryan Ferry album "Let's stick together" and the first solo 'Ian Hunter' album.
