Barret Hackney is a talented film and television character actor with the ability to play roles ranging from comedy and improvisation, to drama and suspense. Originally from Pennsylvania, Barret studied drama and acting at the prestigious New York University TISCH School of Acting, the Stella Adler Studio, and the Stone Street School of Film. Barret's first major film role was in the film "Dogma" where he made a memorable performance as the lead Stygian Triplet. Barret also appeared in the films "Smart People," and "King Pin." Barret Hackney made his comedy debut in scenes opposite Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg in the hit film, "Adventureland," directed by Greg Mottola. Barret was then cast in the role of "Red Rickey" in the film "Mafia," directed by Ryan Combs. Recently, Barret co-starred in the role as "Eddy" in the film "A New York Heartbeat." Barret also co-starred in the suspenseful thriller, "George A.Romero presents: Deadtime Stories." In television, Barret Hackney recently co-starred in the exciting series, "Outsiders," a Sony Production, which premiered on WGN America in 2016. In "Outsiders," Barret played the role of "Butch," and co-starred in twelve (12) dramatic television episodes in Season 1 and Season 2. He currently resides on the East coast and is working on a new project. (2017)
