David Haneke

David Haneke was born in Vienna, Austria. Son of Michael Haneke (Film director) and Lore Haneke (Film editor). He grew up in Vienna, studying Violoncello with Prof. W. Ebert. At the age of twenty (1985), he left Vienna to follow a private mime school in Amsterdam, Netherlands. After two years he changed to the Amsterdamse Hoogeschool voor de Kunsten (Arts academy) to study performing arts. Graduated 1992 bachelor of arts. Performed in several theatre performances and short films through Europe, next to being part of innovative space/theater group BEWTH for eight years as performer and head video department. Made several short films and video installations. Starting using Video on stage at the Arts academy he developed his own style over the years in making Videography's for Stage Events like theatre, opera or music performances. Left Amsterdam in 2005. Lives in Switserland.
