Heather Hancock is a Los Angeles native; she grew up in the business. She was a very successful child actor. At some point she was prescient enough to stop however, and continue with her education. Getting a degree in what she loved was very important to her. She has a degree in Theatre, History, and Government; graduated Magna cum Laude. In addition to acting, she can sing and dance. She's a mezzo-soprano with an extensive musical theater background & has been glad to see the return of the movie musical in recent years. You can catch her singing at the Dresden in Hollywood from time to time. She loves singing and is even working on writing a new theme song for Los Angeles. One of her strongest assets as an actor is her ability to do accents and dialects. She formally studied the IPA and can do flawless British, Russian, Scottish, Irish and more. She was hired as a Russian woman to do a radio show on KPFK and beat out several native Russians to win the role. She has very fair skin and very long dark, naturally curly hair - she is ideal for period pieces and can also be either her heritage * [which is English, Irish, Scottish and French] or play Russian and many others. Having worked in all three mediums; theatre, television and film, she brings a well-rounded advance to all projects. Additionally, she was honored to be a part of the screenplay workshops at the Lee Strasberg. As an actor the process was rewarding as they would perform staged readings of the screenplays and then break them down. This experience was invaluable and only got better when the producer asked her to become the casting director of the group. That gave her a true love {& appreciation} of casting & she still cast small projects from time to time, with much relish & enjoyment of the process. Personally, she's involved with many different activist causes; especially helping the homeless, children and animals. This is a very passionate part of her existence; she has marched on Washington DC three times and enjoys spending her free time helping others. According to her, it is the most rewarding thing in the world.
