Jessica Marshall-Gardiner was born in Arizona but grew up almost entirely in London, England, where she attended Theater School and was classically trained in drama, singing and dance. Appearing in her first film when she was five, Jessica went on to work steadily in film, television and theater. She played young Cosette in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Les Miserables, in London, and she was Rebecca Gibbs in Our Town, alongside Alan Alda and Robert Sean Leonard. Jessica worked consistently for the BBC, and she played Sophie in the British adaptation of Sophie's World, directed by Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum). Before leaving England, Jessica received the honors award for drama from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). She now lives in Los Angeles, California.
