Rafael Hernández was a police bike-driver when he began his career in cinema, in Manolo guardia urbano (1956); since then (without leaving the police department), with his peculiar voice, his man-of-the-street appearance and his perennial moustache, he intervened in almost 200 films, playing bit-parts and supporting characters, mostly in Spanish movies but also in some english language ones, like Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
