Derek Herbert

Born and raised in Liverpool ,attending the Crane Theatre School of acting and music .Performed in musical theatre and variety shows including "Guys & Dolls","Carousel","Fiddler on the Roof" and "The Merry Widow" also Gilbert & Sullivan productions. Live performances singing and self accompanied playing guitar,ukulele banjo and ukulele in theatres including City Varieties Theatre, Leeds and the Empire,Liverpool also on BBC Radio. Moved into television acting performing in soaps and dramas including Coronation St., Emmerdale and Raffles. A passion for WW2 history and immense admiration for Winston Churchill together with an uncanny capability to mimic led to Derek honing the character of Winston Churchill, particularly as Wartime leader. His vocal mimicry complements his visual detail and his amiable personality with good humour bring the character of Winston Churchill to life,not only on camera but entertaining guests in many varied situations including corporate,private ,military and public
