Mogens Holm is a Danish actor, born in 1955. He is known for 'The Lawyer', 'The Mare', 'Frederik IX' and 'Broen'. After graduating from The Danish State Performing Arts School in 1979 he joined the cast at Odense Theatre, later to return to Copenhagen, where he appeared at Betty Nansen, Husets Teater and Posthusteatret among others. He also joined Rimfaxe Theatre, touring across Denmark. Today he works in film and television. Earlier on Mogens worked as an artistic director producing theatrical plays focusing on gender, politics & cultural diversity. He wrote plays and introduced foreign playwrights to the Danish audience. Besides film and television Mogens has starred in infomercials and commercials working with directors such as Stevan Treshov, Kenneth Kainz, Søren Kragh-Jacobsen, Adam Neutzsky-Wulff, Tomas Villum Jensen, Morten Tyldom, Michael Toft. Mogens holds a master in public administration from Copenhagen Business School, and occasionally works as external examiner at his alma mater. He has chaired the Danish Confederation of Theatres (TIO), served as a magistrate at the Eastern High Court in Copenhagen, and worked for the European Union's Culture Agency (EACEA) in Bruxelle advising on transnational cultural cooperation. He was also a mentor at The Danish National Arts Council prioritizing artistic diversity and intercultural projects. Mogens lives in Copenhagen with his wife, Kirsten, who is a parish minister. Together they have two children.
