Being a fan of over-the-top comedy and attracted to explosive drama, Kahshanna Evans has done her share of contrary roles. A Southern California native, Kahshanna's modeling career led her to the bright lights of New York, where she began to study acting. Kahshanna got her feet wet on the set of Ben Stiller's Zoolander (2001). Soon after that she enjoyed the sweet, side-splitting pleasure of appearing on The Chris Rock Show (1997) as Young Robin. Her role as the terminally ill assault victim Vanessa on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999) gave her a chance to work alongside Christopher Meloni and Stephanie March. The William Esper graduate notes that she was treated well on both projects and is definitely a fan of New York City. Kahshanna returned to Los Angeles and in no time her love of humor led to a cameo in_ Epic Movie (2007)_ as a high school-aged "Storm" at Mutant High ("Epic Movie" grossed $20 million on its opening weekend in January 2007), directed by Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg, also the directors of Scary Movie (2000) and Date Movie (2006). Kahshanna went on to her first lead role for a feature film as Natasha in the indie political comedy The Wrong Hands (2010). Kahshanna writes from true-life experience and hopes to empower and inspire her supporters in a short film she wrote entitled "Amani", an exploration of the ultimate empowerment confronting topics of crimes against children, the corruption of uniformed officials we look to for protection and freedom. You can take this California girl out of New York, but you can't take New York out of this California girl.
