Cheryl Faye was born in Los Angeles, CA on September 9, 1959. She has one sister. She attended Alexander Hamilton High School on Robertson Blvd, where her interest in acting intensified. She graduated in the Class of 1977. Cheryl was always known for her very long straight hair. The entertainer Cher (Sonny and Cher fame) was extremely popular in the 70s and Cheryl Faye identified with her, even adopting some of Cher's mannerisms of flinging her long hair back with one hand and then shaking her head. Although she obtained her drivers license she did not like to drive, preferring public transportation or obtaining rides from friends. After high school she moved out on her own to a tiny apartment in West Hollywood to pursue acting professionally. While she did not have much success as an actress, she segued into casting talent and became a very successful casting agent with steady work. She was married for several years to a successful location scout, and they moved to Santa Clarita, CA. Before parting ways, the union produced one son. In later years Cheryl began to coach acting and was also very successful in that endeavor. Her students were cast in TV shows, films and commercials. After a long and hard fought battle with cancer, she died on her birthday in 2018.
