Steven Feder began his show business career performing stand-up comedy in numerous New York clubs while studying acting under Bill Esper at the famous Esper Studio in New York. While a member of The Creative Actors Repertory Theater in New York he performed, directed and produced numerous company productions. Under his banner Black Sheep Entertainment he produced off-Broadway productions of Savage In Limbo, Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Danny And The Deep Blue Sea, and Speed The Plow. He transitioned from theater to the film business by producing and co-writing The Big Gig (1994). This critically acclaimed film won three International Grand Prize Awards including the coveted Audience Award at The Hamptons International Film Festival. Followed by writing, producing and directing the Dramatic Feature Jury Prize-winning film The Cottonwood (1996). The cast included Pruitt Taylor Vince, Gia Carides, Stacy Edwards and Cynthia Nixon. featured on Showtime's The Best of Independent Film Directors Cut Series. He followed that project by writing, directing and producing the romantic comedy, It Had To Be You, starring Natasha Henstridge and Michael Vartan. Distributed worldwide by Regent and Lions Gate Films. He has written on dozens of films, as well as produced and directed music videos. He produced The Promoter on the life of legendary boxing promoter Bob Arum with Peter Berg for HBO. He owns Black Sheep Entertainment and is co-founder of Veritas Filmed Entertainment, LLC which focuses on producing true life stories. He is developing, writing and producing numerous scripted and unscripted projects under his banners Black Sheep Entertainment and Veritas Filmed Entertainment. Feder lives in Southern California.
