Ramin Fathie created Viceroy Films in 1999 to provide his growing client base a more extensive array of video and post production services. As the NY arm of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Archive of American Television Project, Viceroy field produced over 100 extensive historical interviews with television's most notable luminaries (Walter Cronkite, Mike Wallace, Mary Tyler Moore, Sidney Lumet, Don Hewitt, Ted Turner, David Brinkley and Dan Rather) as well as many talented executives, engineers and artists who were instrumental in the earliest days of television. Soon, Café Digital (Discovery), Decorating Cents (HGTV) and A&E Biography (ABC) would utilize Viceroy's services in field production/producing on several episodes filmed throughout the country. The company provided production services for 10 Days that Changed America (History Channel) under the direction of Academy Award winner James Moll and the 2004 Democratic National Convention under Academy Award winner June Beallor. In 2006, Ted Cieselski's My Empire, a co-production, was selected to screen at the Tribeca Film Festival. In 2010, Viceroy Films also co-produced The Sky Below, an award winning documentary film by Sarah Singh about the devastating partition of post-war India and Pakistan; Persona Non Grata, a documentary about the subculture of celebrity impersonators in Las Vegas; Blind Bowling, a documentary on NY's nationally acclaimed blind bowling team; and Visions of Mustang, a documentary exploring unique medical treatments in Tibet. In 2016 Ramin served as Executive Producer on "Breach", negotiating online rights/distribution on over 14 new-media platforms and co-creating a complete marketing strategy including e-mail blasts, websites, press coverage and festival submission. Current projects include: "Persona Non Grata", a documentary about celebrity impersonators in Las Vegas; "Blind Bowling", a documentary about a blind bowling league in NY.
