Mark is a Musical Director and/or Supervisor for Rent (Hangar Theatre - Regional Premiere), The Who's Tommy, Fame The Musical (Macao, China), Our Town 75th Anniversary (Actors Fund/EFA), Tits Fisher with Kitten's Kiss, Buddy's Tavern (York Theatre), The Rocky Horror Show, Hello Again, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Cabaret, God Hates This Show (REAL), Whiskeyland, and many more. In Concert with: Jerry Herman, Andrea Burns, Audra Isadora, VP Boyle, Ric Ryder, Valerie Lemons, Seth Rudetsky, Jac Huberman & Emily Swallow, Kim Stern, Stella by Starlight, The Actors Fund, The Westport Playhouse, more. Mark has contracted and orchestrated NYC studio projects in the theater, pop/rock, and R&B genres; recent scoring projects include Comedy Central's House Haunters (Marlon Wayans) and the web series The Flaming Chef. He is an arranger for Rock the Performance!, and Vocal Director for Carnival Cruise Lines' Playlist Productions. Mark proudly serves as vocal coach to dozens of actor/singers with Broadway, Off-B'way, and recording credits. Mark also: has been both a film editor and a location manager in L.A.; is an amateur chef; has lived and taught music in rural Alabama; has designed well over fifty marching band shows; has edited a cookbook; studied abroad in Manchester, England; is obsessed with the films of Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, and David Lynch. Musical heroes and influences: the Beatles, Igor Stravinsky, Carl Stalling, George Gershwin, Quincy Jones, Peter Gabriel, Ennio Morricone, Kate Bush, Bernard Herrmann, Stevie Wonder, Frank Zappa, Harold Arlen, Steely Dan, Bill Evans, John Williams. Mark holds a B.A. in Film from Penn State, a Masters of Music Ed. from Jacksonville State University, and a certificate from the UCLA-Extension Film Scoring Program. He and his wife Bess, a casting director, reside in Manhattan.
