Composer and pianist, educated at the Liner Academy of Music in Boston. He served in the US Army during World War II, and was a staff organist in the Armed Forces Radio Service. He served as a staff pianist for film studios for two years, then from 1946 was pianist for the David Rose orchestra. Joining ASCAP in 1955, his chief musical collaborator was Jack Lloyd.
