David Richard Fletcher is an Australian-American Special Effects Supervisor, known for his work on Sabotage, Ride Along, Ride Along 2, and National Treasure. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Screen Actors Guild, and International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees. David has been nominated for an Emmy for his work on HBO's Watchmen. David has always had a passion for the film industry and brings over 30 years of experience on over 140 episodic and feature film titles. His admiration for visual story telling and dedication to bringing scenes to life with the use of pyrotechnics and in-camera mechanical special effects was recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2014, when he received an invitation for membership. From recreating mother natures elements to larger than life fireballs erupting from a warehouse, David has built a life of excitement and wonder to audiences. Having served in the Royal Australian Navy, followed by the fire brigade in Australia for nearly 5 years prior to entering the film industry, he understands that safety is paramount. David also holds federal and state level pyrotechnic certifications and is fully insured under his company Walkabout, Inc.
