Little is known about the young actor Igor Fomchenko except for the fact he charmed audiences as the young dedicated violinist who befriends a steamroller worker in the classic short film The Steamroller and the Violin (1961), one of the earliest works directed by famous Soviet director Andrei Tarkovsky. Fomchenko has great acting abilities and an enormous presence on the screen but unfortunately he didn't pursue an acting career and simply vanished into obscurity.
