Kerry Gammill

As the 1960s began, the life of Ft. Worth native Kerry Gammill was forever changed when a TV viewing of Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) sparkled his lifelong love of monster movies. A constant drawer, monsters soon dominated Kerry's art which eventually left the drawing board to include monster make-up and filmmaking. He later turned his creative energies into an art career that included illustrating the comic book adventures of Spider-man, Superman, the X-Men and others. And coming full circle, he even worked as a conceptual artist for a Hollywood effects studio designing creatures for movies and TV shows such as Virus (1999) and the new The Outer Limits (1995). He's also the author of "Kerry Gammill's Drawing Monsters and Heroes".
