Valérie Gaudissart made her debut in the 1990s with documentary films such as "Eau-delà des flaques", "La lueur" and "Des passerelles entre vous et moi". In 1999 she turned to fiction and directed the festival-acclaimed "Apesanteurs", "Insomnies" (2001) and the sensitive "Céleste (2003/2004), a poignant description of a pregnant woman who tries to hide her condition because her lover has left her.
