Starting in the Mid 70's with 8mm Film, Dean has been creating content throughout his career wearing many different hats. What does not show up on his IMDB profile is his 2 years as the Manager of the Rock Band "The Bus Boys" in the Late 80's where his influence and contributions helped produce the Album "Never Giving up" featuring Eddie Murphy. During that period Dino spend lots of time within the Entourage of Writer/Actor/Director Eddie Murphy helping to produce tracks and nurture the Business and Personal relationship that Bus Boys founder Brian O'Neal had with Eddie. Another undocumented chapter not seen within the credits of Dino's career is his year consulting with Legendary Boxing Promoter Don King on the emerging Interactive opportunities available to Boxer Mike Tyson. That relationship has a direct line to Dino's time with Eddie Murphy through Eddie's Valet, Fetteroff Colen, whom also served in the same capacity with Mike shortly after his return to public life in mid 90's. That experience helped to shape Dino's contribution with Internet Startup Digital Entertainment Network (DEN.NET) in the late 90's where he worked as the Head of Production and was responsible for overseeing the nuts and bolts of Producing 30 original programs for the Internet only streaming network. Following the experience with DEN, Dino was summoned again by long time collaborator David Neuman to act as the interim Head of Production for Al Gore's Cable Channel " Current TV". During the inception of that Network, Dino worked with dozens of Producers to create the template for the shows that would ultimately become the staples of the network. Armed with years of production experience and many years of Exhibition experience, Dino went on to become a Digital Cinema Projectionist starting with the BMW Film Series in the mid 2000's and culminating in the creation of the World First Digital Exhibition Network with Microsoft, DCS and Digital Projection. That network of 26 independent Art House Theatres throughout the U.S. became the exhibition platform for hundreds of feature films, dozens of Film Festivals and research Screenings. The partnership released more digital projected films from 2002-2007 than any other group in the World, prior to the studios and NATO arriving at their DCP protocol. After 20+ years of producing in both the music and film business Dino made an sharp turn in 2007 with the purchase of a Red One Camera S/N #0031. This piece of technology along with Dino's long history with Production and computers helped create the position now widely used in content creation, that of the DIT ( Digital Imaging Technician). In these early days of transition from film to digital, Dino stood out as one of the top DIT's in the World, circumnavigating the globe for commercials, feature films and television projects helping to create the job description and best practices for this emerging job. During that time Red Digital Cinema feed Dino a lead for a job with Cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki and Director Terrance Malick. The Film, " The Tree of Life", became a relative experimental training ground for the emerging digital cinema to follow and the start of a 6 film collaboration with Chivo that included 4 Malick films along with work on both "Gravity" and "Birdman" as well as dozens of commercials and short films. As Digital Cinema has emerged as the norm, Dino continues to work in both TV and Features as well as Commercials and Music Videos as a DIT, but is slowly transitioning back to Producing and Executive Producing with his first collaboration being the independent film "Inheritance", Directed by Long time Malick Collaborator Tyler Savage, set to be released in 2017.
