Entering films as a screenwriter in 1950, Bernard Girard made his directorial debut in 1957. His film career has been sporadic, as he concentrated mostly on television. He did make a splash with a stylish comedy/thriller, Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round (1966), but the majority of his film output has been routine.
