Rachel Goldberg is an award-winning filmmaker who directed, "Muted," starring Chandra Wilson ("Grey's Anatomy") and Malcolm-Jamal Warner ("Sneaky Pete") which sold to HBO. She has been supported by prestigious programs such as the Sony Pictures Television Directors Program, We for She's Direct Her program, AFI's Directing Workshop for Women, Film Independent's Project: Involve, Film Independent's Screenwriting Lab and the FOX Global Directing Initiative. Rachel has directed over 40 productions for stage and screen and her work has been described as "poetry in motion" by the LA Weekly and "stunning" by the LA Stage Scene. She has won over 20 awards for her work in film and theater. As one of 8 women selected to participate in AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women, Rachel directed and co-wrote the award-winning film, "Neighbors," starring Kelli Garner ("American Gigolo" "Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe") and Edi Gathegi ("For All Mankind," "X-Men"). This was developed into the feature screenplay "Transformation Awaits" which was penned by Rachel Goldberg and Jonathan Pope Evans. The script was selected for the Film Independent Screenwriting Lab, was supported through the Sundance/WIF Financing Initiative, won a Grand Prize in Screenwriting from the Rhode Island International Film Festival and was recognized by the Academy's Nicholl Fellowship. Through Film Independent's Project: Involve, where Rachel was a Directing/Writing Fellow, Rachel wrote and directed "Rosita Lopez for President" starring Daniela Bobadilla ("Awake," "Anger Management") and Charlie Robinson ("Hart of Dixie").
