Korbi Dean

Comedy skilled & dramatically trained, Korbi has landed roles in film & television known for The Glorias (2020) (2020) opposite Julianne Moore, The Act (2019) Hulu TV series starring Patricia Arquette opposite Joey King & Calum Worthy, The Riches (2007) (Pilot) for FX- Maverick Films opposite Eddie Izzard, and Faith of My Fathers (2005) for A&E-Sony opposite Shawn Hatosy & Scott Glenn. One of Korbi's earliest film roles was in the recent cult following of Stephen King's The Night Flier (1997) opposite Miguel Ferrer. Korbi has worked with directors Shirley MacLaine, Carl Franklin, Julie Taymor, Peter Markle & Mark Pavia. Korbi trained in LA with The Groundlings, Howard Fine, Playhouse West and vocals with Katie Agresta in NYC. She starred in Off-Broadway NY and was the lead singer in the band "Kennedy Ann" that toured in and around Manhattan. Korbi is often described as similar in type to the striking sultry edge of Uma Thurman, off-beat humor of Lisa Kudrow, bold earthy strength of Mariska Hargitay, & dark grit of Anjelica Huston. Korbi has had the opportunity to enjoy roles in the Film & TV genres of Crime, Drama, SciFi & RomCom as a Spy, Assassin, Cop, Detective, Musician, Singer, Love Interest, Evil Scientist, Villain, Ghost and News Anchor speaking in foreign language, accents, shooting guns, love scenes, fx makeup, flashback, dream sequences and period pieces. Korbi's other earlier career credits include her as Sandy, a character voice in a Japanese Anime Battle Royal High School (1987) as well as a 20ft cliff dive stunt into a rock quarry for Rachael Ward's character in My Stepson, My Lover (1997) directed by Mary Lambert. Korbi is passionate about yoga, organics & alternative healing modalities. She loves adventure & travel. She recently spent several years in Hawaii after packing the camping gear & buying a one-way ticket. Korbi also camped cross-country North America in a dune buggy. She loves riding her bicycle in nature, single track and even in NYC & LA traffic. She has dabbled in painting & photography selling at galleries & resorts. Her musical talents are singing & guitar with a grade school credit in band for clarinet. Korbi's sport & athletic achievements include state champ records at a young age in running, swimming & basketball. Korbi is looking forward to working in the next Emmy or Oscar winning gritty Crime, Drama, SciFi or edgy RomCom.
