Eight seasons of the exalted Showtime series, HOMELAND, has traveled John Kretschmer to six countries in three continents and earned him three nominations for the Art Directors Guild Excellence in Production Design Award. Recently he designed the TV pilots for CBS's "Seal Team," Fox's "24:Legacy," the CW's "Containment," and ABC's "Secrets and Lies." Kretschmer's feature film credits include the quirky "Tusk" for Kevin Smith and his three-decade-long career includes the blockbuster feature, "The Strangers," (Rogue/Universal) and the hit television series, "Army Wives," "One Tree Hill," and "Dawson's Creek." Kretschmer has just tapped HOMELAND's final season 8 in Los Angeles, CA. Kretschmer received his BA in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a founding member of the grassroots Student Television (STV). His directing experience includes live and taped television programming.
