Gisela was born Gisela Ingrid Wimmer with twin sister Helga Brigitte in war-torn Europe, living under tough Russian communist rule in East Germany. As their father was about to be deported to Siberia for refusing to tattle on his fellow workers, the family escaped to West Germany, where the West Germans were not too eager to welcome "Ost-Deutsche Flüchtlinge" (East German refugees) and life was sparse and difficult, but not deadly. However America welcomed the Wimmer family, and they sailed on an Italian freighter to New York and found a home in Philadelphia. In her twenties, Gisela visited California and the minute she got off the plane and saw the sunshine, the palm trees and that you could make a right turn on a red light, she was hooked. She's been living in Southern California ever since. Gisela is married to Roger Dawson, also from war-torn Europe...from London. He is an internationally acclaimed author of 17 business books and professional speaker who teaches negotiating skills all over the world. His audio program based on his book "Secrets of Power Negotiating" has sold over 40 million dollars worth. "Not bad, for the son of a taxi driver" he'll humbly but proudly proclaim, giving high praise to America for this opportunity beyond his wildest dreams. Roger has now traveled to about 120 countries, and in accompanying him on his speaking gigs, Gisela has traveled to nearly 80 countries. China has been one of their favorite destinations where the knowledge-hungry and most appreciative Chinese audiences treated them like rock stars. Gisela does not have children of her own, but is a passionately devoted mom to her five rescue dogs, whom she absolutely adores. She has oodles of friends and is gregarious and very social, with book clubs and sailing and hiking and dinner parties and theater events. She loves classical music, Elvis and country music. But her true passion are those darling four-legged furry creatures and the rescue of abused pooches in sad situations. Gisela worked in advertising and Branded Entertainment, as president of her own "product placement" agency, The Catalyst Group in Los Angeles. She is now happily retired in a rural suburb of LA and has the time, energy, ability and commitment to devote herself fully to acting, She brings a world of varied life experience to this enterprise. Her English is perfect without a trace of an accent, but she can expertly transform her speech to reflect the Eastern European dialect. She's also quite decent in conversational Spanish, and is knowledgeable in rudimentary French, using correct pronunciation. She has learned the art of public speaking from Roger and has addressed audiences from 100 to 10,000 vowing the Chinese audiences with her tales of Hollywood and the entertainment industry. She's a good dancer and excellent swimmer and a reliable, organized human being who is just about always in a good mood.
