City of birth : Briey, Meurthe-et-Moselle, France

This tall brunette was born in 1919 in Briey, a small administrative town in the North-East of France. But it is in Bordeaux, in the South-West, that she trained to be an actress at the local School for Performing Arts (Conservatoire de Bordeaux). One of her teachers there was the renowned Kléber Harpin. Elisa was awarded the fist prize in three categories: singing, piano and comedy. She later went to Paris, where she was following Solange Sicard's acting lessons when she was noticed by Noël-Noël who hired her to play in his amusing satire of pains in the neck: "Les Casse-Pieds". This could have been the beginning of a fruitful career but, between 1948 and 1956, this good-looking, cultivated, multi-talented actress landed only a score of roles in mainly run-of-the-mill movies. She deserved better. Luckily the theater gave her more opportunities of shining, notably in "Judith", Jean Giraudoux's play. Strictly off the record, Elisa got married at seventeen and lived with her husband for ... two days! A painful experience who made her prioritize her career. She disappeared from the screens after 1956: does this mean she ended up finding true love?
