He was born into an Armed Forces family, thus having to travel a lot. Most postings were a maximum of three years, but some were even less. This created a very uncomfortable feeling for him over the years. For two reasons, he would never be able to keep good friends, and sometimes he would join a new school half way in the middle of a school year. Frequently he would be introduced to his classmates in the middle of a class. Having all those eyes staring at him was a fearful experience, he did not like. Thus the start of his life in the public eye. He started his entertainment adventure by acting in school plays, singing in the choir, and telling jokes. He always enjoyed making people laugh. Sports was his big enjoyment though...that's why he never focused on playing a musical instrument. He was too focused on his sports, but that can't stop genetics. In 1990 he pursued an acting career, by performing as an "Extra" in a variety of productions around the metropolitan Toronto area. After getting much encouragement from several assistant directors to start auditioning for "Speaking" roles, he retained an agent and began his acting "resume". In 2001, Mike took a leave of absence from auditioning. In 2002 he moved up north of Toronto to Gravenhurst where he re-introduced himself into the public eye, by doing radio commercials for The Gravenhurst Opera House and singing with a band, as "Mikey", promoting a tribute show to "Elvis", his music and his loving memory.
