The first non-director to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the MVPA, Beau Leon is one of the most expansive and influential colorists working today. His creative and innovative work can be seen in an enormous number of music videos, feature films, documentaries and commercials. He has done beautiful, innovative work for artists including Prince, Jane's Addiction, Ariana Grande, Eminem Beyonce, Rihanna, TOOL and countless others. Some of Leon's recent projects include director Spike Jonze's documentary Beastie Boys Story and video "Welcome Home" featuring FKA Twigs. He has collaborated with the Oscars telecast and with internationally acclaimed director Michele Gondry on TV Series Kidding. Leon also colors independent and documentary films, including Emmett Malloy's Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell, Sam Jones Tony Hawk: Until the Wheels Fall Off (scheduled to release in Feb 2022 on HBO). Leon's commercial credits include work for clients such as Nike, Meta (formerly Facebook), Amazon, Yeti, Cadillac, Comcast, GMC, Anheuser Busch, BMW, Xbox, and Verizon. A native of Southern California, Leon began his career grading dailies on major studio films before joining then-leading 525 Post in Hollywood and coloring some of the most iconic music videos of the day, starting out of the gate with the enormously admired "Losing My Religion" clip for R.E.M.
