Hector V. Lino, Jr. is a writer, educator and an actor. He graduated with a Master's Degree in Education from Walden University and earned his Bachelor's degree in journalism from NYU. He is also the author of the memoir, Dawg Daze: Clawing through a Life of Loss, Lust and Love, From the Edge of the Crowd and Me and You. He has facilitated literacy workshops for teachers and students on the high school, college and professional levels as well as having worked extensively with community-based organizations, playwrights and directors Hector Lino had a 30-plus year history with Frederick Douglass Creative Arts Center. He worked as the Administrative Director, Associate Producer, and as a coordinator for the Black Root Poetry Festivals, 12 theatrical productions, and many of the Center's workshop series, all under the mentoring of the late Fred Hudson, the Center's long time President and Artistic Director.
