Serge Losique has devoted his life to cinema. He founded the Conservatoire d'Art Cinematographique in Montreal, where he presented more than 10,000 films between 1967 and 2000, organizing many festivals and retrospectives. He introduced the first credited cinema courses in Canada at Concordia University in Montreal. He wrote and produced the feature film No More Words. The film Histoire(s) Du Cinema by Jean-Luc Godard is the result of his work with Serge Losique. Losique founded the Canadian Student Film Festival (the oldest film festival in Canada), and the Quebec International Film Festival. Serge Losique is the president of the Montreal World Film Festival, a festival he founded in 1977.
