Philip Joseph Hyland began as a stage actor at Barksdale Theatre in Hanover, Virginia, making his first appearance in 1986 in the role of Eugene in Neil Simon's "Brighton Beach Memoirs". Hyland also toured in a musical production of "Hansel & Gretel" with Theatre IV, a division of the Virginia Repertory Theatre. For several seasons Hyland has portrayed Jesus Christ in the Maundy Thursday drama, "Remember Me", at Christ Lutheran Church in Valencia, California. In addition to acting Hyland co-founded the New York City based Pop-Rock group, Girlfriend, and released the debut album, "The New Me", on Celsius Records. Hyland is married, has two children and resides in Los Angeles, California.
