Christophe Ivins, MFA, has over fifteen years of experience in motion picture production and post-production. He has worked on visual effects for many studio films, including five Academy Award winners, most notably Titanic, Avatar and Life of Pi. He has shot and operated camera and Steadicam on studio productions including Darren Aronofsky's Noah, Ups & Downs with Snoop Dogg, and the Academy Award winning West Bank Story, in locations as far away as Cambodia, India, Germany, glaciers of Alaska, and in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary during deployment with NATO Peace Implementation Forces. Christophe was fortunate to work with James Cameron on Avatar, and train under Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC, known for cinematography of The Deer Hunter and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. His experience in the motion picture industry afforded him the ability to teach compositing. Ivins is a member of the Visual Effects Society and the Society of Camera Operators, for which he has served on the Board of Governors.
