Mark Kandborg is an Actor, Writer and Director, also known for his work as a Location Scout and Assistant Director. Born in Vancouver Canada, he moved to Edmonton where he attended the University of Alberta for a year before transferring to the University of Hawaii, where he earned a Psychology Degree with a minor in Astrophysics. Mark put himself through school by working as a pedicab driver in Waikiki -- a consummation devoutly to be wished. An avid drummer since the age of 14, he also had the good fortune of playing drums for 80's hairband Looker, house band at the Enlisted Men's and Officers' Clubs at Pearl Harbor. Returning to Edmonton, Mark was bitten again by the acting bug dormant since high school when he began working for improv company Scheme-a-Dream, alongside fellow neophytes Nathan Fillion and Mark Meer. His love of comedy led him to the stand up stage for a time, performing at Yuk Yuks in Edmonton and also in Vancouver, returning to his hometown to pursue a career behind the camera. Working in film and television afforded Mark the privilege of forging close friendships with other creatives in the field, and he began acting once again in a variety of their passion projects which led to roles in major productions and rekindled his love of the craft. Mark now spends as much time in front of, as behind, the camera. The short film All My Sins (2011) was his first foray into directing, followed by the Web Series Necessary Evil. He has a number of screenplays in development.
