Roisin Kearney is a multi-award winning writer, director and producer in film, TV and theatre. Having worked for a number of years nationally and internationally she took some time out, continuing on the periphery in script development and reporting on talent for industry. She returned to writing in 2014 with short comedy film The Love Agency which was also developed into a radio play. Recent work includes BAFTA shortlisted The Ballad of Olive Morris (EP), radio series, Adventures of Young Pirate Queen S3 (Producer) The Family Way (writer/producer) No Dogs (writer/director) Algorithms (writer/director) Prodigy (producer) We Have Each Other (producer). Academy long-listed The Ferry (co-producer) and RUN (writer/director) both premiered at Galway Film Fleadh '19, PADDY (Director) premiered at Galway Film Fleadh '20. Director on 6 x 1/2h hybrid documentary series Keep It Up for Macalla Toe and RTE. Director (Blooms Day shoot) on documentary series Remarkable Women. Director - Ode to a Coolock Queen (film) - SmashingTimes Theatre Co. Associate producer Gamer Mode 8 x 20m format for Roundstaone Media and RTE. Assistant Producer on radio series 'Adventures of A Young Pirate Queen' for Roundstone Media and RTEJr Radio. Awards and nominations include - Screen Ireland Fellowship - Stowe Story Labs retreat 2022. Best Comedy nominee EdFest New Voice Award 2019 - test card pilot. Best film Dublin International Short Film and Music festival 2019. Best Script - Waterford International Film Festival 2017. Roisin is in development on comedy drama series RIP with Babyjane Productions supported by Screen Ireland. Spoke feature film with Roundstone Media. Moon Walk theatre play supported by the Arts Council of Ireland. Dry White comedy drama series with Document films. Speck scripts include crime drama/thriller Patrius TV series and blue-sky drama series Bloodlines. Roisin regularly acts as reader and supplies development notes for writers and post-production edit notes for directors.
