Darryl started working in film and video in the second year of his university career in the late 80's and by the time he graduated, he had worked his way to the level of best boy electric for the busiest gaffer in the province of Saskatchewan and earned himself a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Film and Video. He had shot fellow students films during university and continued getting behind the camera at every opportunity. He spent years working at the Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative while also freelancing in the industry. This allowed him to reap the benefits of abundant commercial and television exposure as well as collaboration with more experimental and independent driven forces. He currently focuses mainly on cinematography and camera operating on large and small projects, series etc.
