Edgard Miranda is a Brazilian television director. He began his career at TV Globo as assistant director to Herval Rossano, Wolf Maya, Luiz Fernando Carvalho and Ricardo Waddington, the latter being the one who promoted him to director on the miniseries Presença de Anita. During the Globo period, he also directed O Quinto dos Infernos, O Beijo do Vampiro, Kubanacan, Linha Direta and Linha Direta Justiça. Invited by Alexandre Avancini to work at Record, where he soon assumed the position of General Director, replacing Avancini himself in the soap opera Vidas Opostas, after Alexandre left the plot in the last chapters for the pre-production and direction of Paths of the Heart. He directed soap operas for Record such as Prova de Amor, Chamas da Vida, Ribeirão do Tempo, Vitória, as well as the Biblicals O Rico e Lázaro, Jesus, Gênesis and the Bible.
