Tony Monaco began his career on Broadway as Tommy Morton, appearing as a dancer in several musicals and revues, including "Angel in the Wings," "Lend an Ear," "High Button Shoes" and "Are You With It?" After a brief stint as an actor in Hollywood, he shifted his attention to behind-the-scenes work, adopting the professional name Tony Monaco after the fictitious character he portrayed in the 1953 film "Main Street to Broadway."
