Rhys Muldoon is an Australian actor who was born in Newcastle, Australia, he is a writer and director who has worked extensively in film, television, voice artistry, music, theatre and radio. Muldoon is best known for his 12 years as a host on long running Children's program Play School (1966). Muldoon would also appear in Les Norton (2019), House Husbands (2012), Lockie Leonard (2007). In 2020 Muldoon would appear in Underbelly adaptation Informer 3838 (2020) where he played Melbourne Gangland War victim Terry Hodson. Muldoon has also written for various publications, including The Monthly, The Spectator, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, Jewish News, and Inside Football, where he has had a regular column for a number of years. His essay "A Coup by Any Other Name" for The Monthly, about the removal of Kevin Rudd as Prime Minister was named "an essay of the year".
