Adeline Naiman was born in 1925 in Boston, MA USA as Adeline Lubell, and attended Radcliffe College with Norman Mailer's sister. She worked in publishing and curriculum development, especially around science and math, and was a pioneer in the use of computers in education. She was instrumental in getting Mailer's first novel published; they remained lifelong friends. Though she was extensively involved in scripting and producing educational films through Monarch, Education Development Center's Role of Women in American Society program and elsewhere, Maidstone was her only acting role. She was married to physicist Mark Lewis Naiman. She died on March 25, 2011 in Lincoln, Massachusetts, USA.
