Catherine Noisette was one of Oscar Micheaux's beautiful and most glamorous actress. She was one of Oscar Micheaux's leading ladies in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Catherine starred in "Wages of Sin," "The Daughter of Congo," and "The Exile." She usually played the femme fatale, the vamp, the snooty gossip queen. She always added wit and charm to her characters, she never overdid her roles, she was always classy, savvy, and alluring on screen. She was the most enjoyable even in minor roles, (sometime the most interesting of all the cast) even if her role was small she always made it into something memorable. Catherine Noisette always received favorable reviews for her performances. She had all the makings of an actress. She could have became a more popular actress but the problems in her personal life stagnated her acting career. She led a reckless, tragic life, that always got her on the front page news even way after her movie career ended. In 1935 at the age of 29, she passed away from complications of mental illness and tuberculosis. She was married to a Noisette at the time of her movie career and at the time of her death she was married to another man.
