René Nijman was born in Scheveningen, a village near The Hague in the Netherlands. He went to the Montessorischool Waalsdorp, a primary school. Afterwards he continued his education at the Vrijzinnig Christelijk Lyceum in The Hague. René was quite a gifted actor and occasionally figured in TV-series. In the last year of primary school he played a significant part in Lang leve de koningin (1995) or "Long live the queen", a successful movie for children. He then starred in the telefilm "Twee ogen uit Lemberg" (1996) with _Victor Löw_. Later on he co-founded a theatre collective called Fastpak which has been moderately successful. He now attends Maastricht Theatre Acadamy.
