Sean O'Grady was managed by his mother Jean and trained by his father Pat. The Oklahoma City lightweight turned professional at 15 years old. He was 29-0 with 25 knockouts in his first year of boxing. He was an amazing 73-1 with 65 knockouts in the 5th year of his career. Won the WBC World 135 pound title defeating unbeaten Hilmer Kenty in 15 rounds. Knockout losses to Andrew Ganigan and Johnny Verderosa ended his career in 1983 at 24 years old. O'Grady's record was 81-5 with 70 knockouts, 24 in the first round.
