From Down and Out in Beverly Hills to his Bio Single Person Show, "What are The Odds?", Joseph Makkar continues to see the value of story telling. Joseph received a scholarship to acting school at the ripe age of ten, and he continued on to perform in the theatre as well as in films. Joseph's education was sponsored by the three prolific aerospace and research firms (McDonald Douglas, Howard Hughes and TRW) from grade school to his freshman year in high school until he was advised by his high school teacher that he might be a good fit for The Los Angeles County High School Of the Arts (LACHSA). He received coaching from his mentor Chip Fields and auditioned for LACHSA and was accepted. After Graduating from LACHSA's rigorous theatre department, Joseph shifted gears again to support his love for animals, by continuing his education to consult for and staff veterinary hospitals. (Veterinary Staff Unlimited, located in Los Angeles is one of the largest veterinary-specific staffing and consulting firms in the country). Joseph completed his undergraduate degree in management and MBA degree from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business. His love for the arts and his desire to leave the world a better place is only topped by his love for family. Joseph has been married for over 20 years and has 3 beautiful daughters.
