Manuela Maletta is an Award-winning Italian actress, known for TV series, such as Vivere (1999-2005), Donna Detective (2007-2010), A un passo dal cielo 3 (2015). She received her first Award in 2001, and the second in 2002, both for Vivere. In 2004 she received a third Award (Best Italian Theatre play at Olimpici del Teatro) for L'Avare by Moliere. Her credits in films include Dead Train Aringhe Sottotreno, Davide Marengo's short film where she starred alongside Antonio Albanese and Claudio Santamaria, Generation Z by Steve Barker with Dougray Scott and the British indie movie Embrace Eternity by Samuel Reinders. Her credits in theatre include Il collezionista di ossa, by Anthony Shaffer with Giancarlo Zanetti and Laura Lattuada, L'Avare by Moliere directed by and with Gabriele Lavia, L'Ultimo sogno del principe di Salina with Luca Barbareschi. From 2006 she assisted director Donato Pisani on the Award-winning TV series Vivere. In 2007 she wrote, produced and co-directed the first Italian web series I Pistillini. In the meantime she graduated in Philosophy and Philosophical Sciences at University of Milan, and then in Psychology at University of Bergamo. She is now living in London where she has been working with Richard Eyre, alongside Emma Thompson in The Children Act. Founder of Sangha Women, she is an activist for Women's rights with the aim to uplift women's lives from patriarchy and emotional numbness. She is also involved in the mission of inspiring Young people to live their full human potential.
