Peter Martin is an Academy Award nominated & Emmy winning Producer. He is a Creative Futurist and a pioneer in immersive, experiential & virtual production. In 2000 Peter was hired by Lord David Puttnam as the Creative Director of CREATEC, where he pioneered new virtual technologies, making a CGI film starring a virtual Nick Cave and PJ Harvey, and a virtual fashion show with Nick Knight for ShowStudio.Peter became Creative Director at Ealing Film Studios in 2001. He went on to form the cross-platform content company Zeppotron ("Black Mirror'). Set up the film division of Done & Dusted and Produced the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Co-created and wrote 'Phoo Action' with Jamie Hewlett ('Tank Girl', 'Gorillaz') for the BBC, winning a BAFTA for best drama in 2009. In 2010 Peter created and Produced 'Waste Land', the feature length doc which won over 35 Festival awards including a nomination for Best Documentary at the 2011 Academy Awards. Moving to Los Angeles, he formed V.A.L.I.S., Producing and Directing the world's first holographic duet between M.I.A. and Janelle Monae for the launch of the new Audi A3, where both artists simultaneously performed duets in New York and Los Angeles in specially constructed immersive environments. Peter Directed a number of high-profile VR projects, including Run the Jewels "Crown" music video, the 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit VR, and the Emmy winning 4-part VR series "Capturing Everest" for Life VR (both featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated). 2018 he created a 6dof VR project for the Smithsonian (with Intel & Framestore) and Justin Timberlake's "Montana": an immersive music project for Paul Allen's Vulcan Inc which launched in the Holodome in Seattle's the Frank Gehry designed MoPop museum. 2020 "The March VR" was released, which featured the world's first virtualization of Dr. Martin Luther King's iconic 'I Have a Dream' speech. The project featured on the cover of Time Magazine, Feb 2020 and subsequently launched at the DuSable Museum in Chicago.
