Tim Marx is an award winning producer and director whose credits include dramatic and comedic television, feature films, documentaries, special event productions and new media digital projects. Marx began his career making arts oriented and political documentaries in Washington, DC before moving to New York. He soon began producing for PBS's American Playhouse (producing 8 original movies and adaptations), Great Performances, HBO and IMAX movies. Moving to Los Angeles he became a producer for HBO, Hollywood Pictures, Disney, Goldwyn, Warner Bros, CBS, ABC, TNT, Showtime, among others. His television credits include the hit series Young Sheldon, Baby Daddy, Entourage, Invasion, and Arli$$. Other credits include HBO's Enlightened (Pilot), ABC Family's Bunheads (Pilot) and The Nine Lives of Chloe King (series). Marx produced the highly acclaimed HBO movie Citizen X, which won the ACE Award for Best Picture and a total of ten Emmy and PGA nominations. Marx also co-produced the movie Smooth Talk, which won Grand Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Other credits include: Al Pacino's Local Stigmatic, numerous productions with Penn & Teller, Garry Trudeau's Rap Master Ronnie, Passed Away and the American Masters profile of Helen Hayes. Other series and pilots for television include Justice, The Captain, Related and HBO comedy specials. In addition Marx has produced over a dozen movies for television, as well as IMAX movies. He has shot in all 50 states and around the world. In documentaries and non-fiction, Marx produced and directed the feature film Bluetopia: The LA Dodgers Movie, (which stands as a portrait of the remarkable love affairs fans have with their local sports teams), Bill Moyers' Journals, National Geographic expedition specials and major concert films. Marx is a speaker on seminar panels and a contributor about all aspects of transmedia distribution. He is an Adjunct Professor at USC and a member of DGA, PGA, and ATAS.
