Chris Mazzei

Christopher Mazzei was born in Santa Monica, California on October 15, 1978 to Vicki (a nurse) and Gene (cardiac surgeon) Mazzei (divorced in 1994). He moved at the age of two to San Luis Obispo, California where his father started his own medical practice. Christopher graduated from Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School in San Luis Obispo in 1997. Immediately following graduation, he attended the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. There he made contact with the producer, Phillip Jon Haarsma. 'Devious Beings' was Christopher's directorial debut, a small budget movie, shot in 16 days. He was 21 years old during production of the film. It had a small six-theater release in October 2001 and is now out on DVD and Amazon streaming. Christopher lives in San Luis Obispo with his wife, Erin and their two boys. Chris and Erin started Better Half Entertainment in 2018 to pursue a joint screenwriting career.
