William C. McGann was an American director of second features. He began his film career as assistant cameraman and graduated to cinematographer for Douglas Fairbanks in the late 1910s. He had a long tenure as director with the Warner Bros. "B" unit, 1930-39. Afterwards, he had brief spells with Paramount and RKO. Well-regarded as a second-unit director, his features as director were mostly routine.
